  1. This is strace 3.1, a system call tracer for SunOS 4.x, Linux, System
  2. V release 4, Solaris 2.x and Irix 5.x.  strace is released under a
  3. Berkeley-style license at the request of Paul Kranenburg; see the file
  4. COPYRIGHT for details.

  6. Read the INSTALL file for generic instructions on how to install
  7. strace.  If configure cannot guess your system configuration, you can
  8. specify it on the command line after the other options like this:
  9.  
  10.     ./configure --prefix=/usr i486-linux
  11.  
  12. The following configurations are supposed to work (in porting order):
  13.  
  14.     sparc-sun-sunos4.1
  15.     i486-linux
  16.     sparc-sun-solaris2
  17.     i486-ncr-sysv4
  18.     i486-sun-solaris2
  19.     m68k-linux
  20.     mips-sgi-irix5
  21.     alpha-linux
  22.  
  23. A single sunos4.1 binary should work on all the sun4, sun4c and sun4m
  24. kernel architectures.  Let me know if sun4d doesn't work.  Other
  25. i486-*-sysv4 systems may work with little or no tweaking.
